Chocolate

I never used to have anything sweet, but lately have been eating chocolate again. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions of something that is as tasty as chocolate but without the sugar.

I'm hypoglycemic and whenever the family eats ice cream and goodies, I'm left out because the sugar rush makes me major depressed the next day.

Sometimes I indulge, but regret it every time, because eating all that sugar isn't worth all the negative emotions I have for a few days until the "sugar downer" gets out of my system.

But my Auntie Florence introduced me to a neat chocolate that is so high in flavonols hence antioxidants that I don't get the downers the next day. I tell others about it now because it works so good for me. Hope it's okay to tell my website if someone is interested in knowing more. I love having to have to eat my chocolate everyday. http://www.xochocolatehealth.com/about-us.html

Have you ever tried Carob? It's similar to chocolate but better for you. I've had food allergies and sensitivities my whole life; but I was only diagnosed last Friday with Hypoglycemia. (your blog has been very helpful. Thank you).

I agree. Carob is better than chocolate for blood sugar levels. Right now I'm in a hypoglycemia down. Not fun! Wish I didn't have it because coupled with menopause, I'm struggling to keep afloat.

I find when I take calcium, I can cope better. Chocolate has been known to bind calcium so that's why it's not so good for us.

Does anyone else have a delayed hypoglycemia like me? I don't see the effects of eating bad until the next day.
